QuietPutty® is a Class A fire-resistant acoustical putty designed to help preserve the acoustic performance of STC-rated wall and ceiling assemblies by sealing penetrations that can compromise sound control. QuietPutty can be applied around electrical outlet boxes, rocker switches, HVAC ducts, water hookups, cable systems, and other penetrations requiring an acoustic seal.
Part of the Quiet® family of sound control products, QuietPutty is designed for use with QuietRock® sound-reducing drywall and QuietSeal® Pro acoustical sealant as part of the complete Quiet® Sound Damping System. QuietPutty requires no tools to apply, adheres to most construction materials, and remains soft with minimal shrinkage to help provide a long-lasting acoustic seal. It also provides draft and cold-smoke sealing in addition to noise sealing.
